Danny Allie

Danny comes to the PBS Academy from Florida where he coached and taught Health and Physical Education at the secondary level for 14 years. Danny compiled a 115-57 record in an eight year span at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida. His teams in 1991 and 1992 were ranked #1 in the high school polls in both Baseball America & USA Today.

In 1990, 1991, and 1992, they were National Amateur Baseball's World Series Champions at the high school level. He is a member of the 2002 inductees into the Dr. Phillips high school athletic Hall-of-Fame. Danny is also the first high school baseball coach in Florida to have (2) former high school players on the same MLB All-Star roster in Johnny Damon and A.J. Pierzynski.

He has coached present & former big league players such as:

A.J. Pierzynski Chicago White Sox, Catcher

In addition, he has also coached many top professional draft choices and collegiate players from around the country.

Currently, Danny is the head baseball coach at St. Edward high school in Lakewood, Ohio, and in his first year at the helm, St. Edward was the "2008 Division I Baseball State Champions".

Robert Ferns

Coach Ferns comes to Premier Baseball Academy having been an assistant coach at Padua High School in 2008. Coach Ferns was a graduate of Macomb Community College in 2000-01 and Darton College from 2001-02.

Drafted in 2002 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Robert played rookie ball for Missoula Montana and A-ball in South Bend, Indiana. In 2003 Robert moved up the organization to A-ball in Yakima, Washington and finished his career in 2003 with the AAA Tucson, Arizona team due to an arm injury.

Before joining PBS Academy, Robert was the head pitching instructor and youth baseball summer coach for the former PB Baseball organization since 2003 where his teams have been very competitive and successful over the years. His teams have posted a 155-80 record.

Dave Borgia:

Coach Borgia comes to Premier Baseball Academy having been an assistant coach at Padua High School and currently a member of the St. Edward Eagles baseball staff the 2008 Division I State Champions.

 

Coach Borgia has been associated with National Championship teams at the youth baseball level. He has a wealth of baseball knowledge, a tremendous understanding of the game and an outstanding ability to provide his student-athletes with insight as to what it takes to reach the next level.

 

Coach Borgia's personal baseball experiences, respect of young aspiring athletes, understanding of the game, and his passion for the game make him one of the most valuable instructors on this Premier Baseball Academy staff.

Jim Kavourias

Jim Kavourias comes to Premier Baseball Academy with a rich baseball background. A graduate of Brooklyn High School in 1997, Jim led the state with a .625 batting average and was first-team All-Conference in the MAC-8.

 

West Virginia University 1997-98

Pensacola Junior College 1998-99

32nd round draft pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks

 

University of Tampa 1999-00, broke Tino Martinez's RBI record of 82 with 90 RBI's along with 23 HR's and a .365 batting average.

 

5th round draft pick of the Florida Marlins in the year 2000 amateur draft

 

Midwest League All-Star in 2001, 23 HR's and 90 RBI's

 

Former teammate of Miguel Cabrera. Adrian Gonzalez, Dontrelle Willis, Josh Willingham, Denny Bautista, Jeremy Hermida, Josh Johnson, Scott Olson that are all in the big leagues.

 

Played 6 seasons in the minor leagues

 

Played on summer Olympic team for Greece in 2004. Hit  .312 with 1 HR and 2 RBI's

 

Baseball instructor for the last 5 years

 

Currently an assistant coach at Nordonia High School
